ZARAGOZA
Zaragoza is one of the great monumental towns in Spain. It was founded
some 2000 years ago and Old-Iberians, Romans, Goths and Arabians equally
left their heritage. Zaragoza as well includes important buildings of
Spanish baroque.
Today the town is economically very active, and organises several important
international fairs.
Zargoza is another of Spains city renowned for its history. Located close to Madrid, Zargoza is the 6th largest city in Spain. The romans made this city a popular important city, bringing wealth to the region. If you visit today you can visit the ruins of the amphitheatre and the roman baths.
For more history you can visit the home of King Ferdinand, this beautiful palace was built in the 11th century and still stands today, a national monument to past monarchs. In 1469, Ferdinand married Isabella I of Castile, and in 1474 they assumed joint rule of Castle. The royal couple, known as the Catholic kings, set out with energetic determination to complete the unification, and Granada who would have no part, fell to them in 1492.
